At the University of Oregon, we want to educate and support all of our employees about gender identity, gender expression and gender transition.   • Glossary 101 helps people understand words and meanings to make conversations easier and more comfortable.

  • Pronouns are an important part of how we identify ourselves.  Learning pronouns supports the trans community and the university's commitment to inclusion, justice and respect.

  • Request a Pronoun Ribbon to adhere to the bottom of your name badge. Pronoun ribbons are a great way to be inclusive in a professional setting and indicates to Trans and Non-binary folks that you are working to create space for them. Pronoun ribbons also tell others how to best honor you!

  • Respecting Transgender Coworkers provides a trans etiquette list of the best ways to support and respect someone who is transgender.

  • Gender Neutral Restroom Campus Map provides the locations of the gender neutral restrooms on campus.

  • LGBT Education Support Service Presentation is a quick training presentation about the mission of the LGBTQIA+ office, gender identity, expression, pronouns and trans etiquette.

  • Trans*Ponder is a grassroots, completely transgender founded and led non-profit based in Eugene, Oregon. It provides support, education, and advocacy for the Trans/Gender Diverse community and its allies.

  • Human Rights Campaign serves as American’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve LGBTQ equality.

  • US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee because of a person’s race, color, religion, sex, (including pregnancy, gender identity and sexual orientation), national origin, age (40 or older) disability or genetic information.
