The UO communicates information about schedule changes for the Eugene campus using these methods:
- UO Alerts (https://safety.uoregon.edu/uo-alert)
Official communication of any changes to the university’s schedule comes through UO Alerts texts and emails. Emails come to all “uoregon.edu” accounts. To receive UO Alerts text messages, all employees and students should make sure current mobile numbers are activated to receive UO Alerts text messages in all emergencies, including weather situations. Manage UO Alerts at duckweb.uoregon.edu.
- UO Alerts page (https://alerts.uoregon.edu)
Includes all UO Alerts messages but also will share extra information on known hazards and resources for safety and information. The best UO source for ongoing and detailed information.
- UO homepage (https://uoregon.edu)
A banner displays information at the top of the page.
- Inclement weather phone line
A recorded message about weather impacts to the UO schedule is available at 541-346-9000.
- Local media
Local TV, radio, and print media will usually run information about UO schedule changes on their programming and websites, along with other local school and agency closures.
University community members should assume the UO is operating on normal schedule unless they receive an official message. The UO will not usually issue a notice stating normal operations.
