Faculty Salary Increases: Administrative Guidelines

Fiscal year 2019 salary increases for faculty were set in the collective bargaining agreement with United Academics.

Eligibility

The FY19 faculty salary increases will be provided to faculty members who meet the eligibility criteria. To be eligible, tenure-track and tenured faculty and career non-tenure-track faculty must have an appointment on December 31, 2018.

Salary Increases

Tenure-track and tenured faculty (TTF)

TTF faculty members will receive a 1.25% across-the-board increase on January 1, 2019.   

TTF are also eligible for equity increases distributed from a 0.75% equity pool. Funds from that pool will be distributed as soon as they are available and consistent with the United Academics collective bargaining agreement and related memorandums of understanding.

Equity increase decisions are likely to be finalized after January 1, 2019. All increases provided from the equity pool will be retroactive to January 1, 2019. If there are funds remaining in the equity pool after equity decisions are made, those funds will be provided as an additional across-the-board increase to all eligible TTF. 

FY 2019 equity pool and across-the-board salary increases per the UA CBA that are determined after January 1, 2019 will be retroactive to January 1, 2019.

Career Non-tenure-Track Faculty (NTTF)

Career NTTF will receive a 2% across-the-board increase effective January 1, 2019.
