Dental Insurance

The University of Oregon benefits package includes dental insurance. You are not required to enroll in a dental plan, but to enroll in a dental plan you must choose to enroll in a medical plan. You may enroll yourself, your spouse/domestic partner, and your dependents individually or in any combination.

Employees have a variety of dental plans to choose from. Each one designed to meet the needs of employees and their family.

Plan Choices

Delta Dental Plans
(Formerly ODS)

PPO Plan
This plan gives you access to preferred provider network in Oregon and across the country. Members will enjoy better benefits by seeing dentists in the PPO network. If you choose to see a dentist outside the network, you will pay more for services.

Premier Plan
The Premier option connects you with the largest dental network in Oregon and nationally. It includes more than 2,300 providers in Oregon. If you have the Delta Dental Premier plan, you can save money by seeing dentists in the Premier Network.

Willamette Dental Plan

Willamette Dental is a managed dental health maintenance plan. Coverage is restricted to Willamette Dental clinics. There are more than 50 clinics located throughout the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington and Idaho).

Kaiser Dental Plan

You must live or work in the Kaiser service area and receive services from a provider in a Kaiser Permanente facility to be covered by this plan. You do not need to be enrolled in Kaiser medical to enroll in Kaiser dental.

Covered Oregon counties include:
Washington, Multnomah, Hood River, Yamhill, Clackamas, Polk, Marion, Benton, Linn and Lane

Covered Washington counties:
Cowlitz, Columbia, Clark, Wahkiakum, Lewis, and Skamania
