The UO offers generous retirement programs through the Public Employees' Benefit Board (PEBB), and voluntary contribution plans. Our retirees maintain access to many UO services and benefits, as well as lifelong learning and development opportunities.
We want you to fully understand your retirement benefits at any stage of your career. Whether you're a new hire, a current employee, or a retiree, you'll have access to a comprehensive retirement education tailored to you and your family.
Eligible employees have the choice of two retirement plans:
- The Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) offers both a defined-benefit pension and a defined-contribution investment account.
- The Optional Retirement Plan (ORP) is a defined-contribution alternative to PERS.
You'll have plenty of resources to help you make this choice.
In addition to PERS or ORP, you can enroll in a 403(b) and/or a 457(b) plan to supplement your retirement income.
For more details, including plan eligibility, please vist the UO Benefits Office website or email hrbenefits@uoregon.edu.
