The PRF Project Team is continuing to make progress on the design and project plan for an electronic PRF. The project timeline has been extended, but we are working with the IS Project Management Office to get the project in the queue for building a workflow in OnBase, which is the University’s software solution for document storage and workflows. Feedback on the current paper based PRF process is continuing to be gathered, reviewed, and will be used to inform the requirements of the project. The Process Transformation - PRF Project team has been working to gather information from stakeholders and map the current PRF process.
An important step in preparation for the Process Transformation - PRF Project was evaluating the job change reason and separation codes that are required on the PRF for personnel and pay actions. HR and Payroll clarified and developed new job change reason and separation codes to improve coding and reporting. The new and improved codes contain detailed descriptions that more accurately describe specific job changes that occur across campus. The new codes will be driving process improvements related to the PRF.
Future state process flows are being developed with the vision of turning PRF actions into a dynamic, electronic and user-friendly system for requesting personnel and pay actions.
