Wellness Seminar Series for Faculty and Staff

Human Resources partners with Cascade Centers, our employee assistance provider, and campus departments to offer wellness seminars for faculty and staff.
Each seminar focuses on a different aspect of personal well-being or an important campus topic and is free of charge. Other important information about wellness seminars:

  • When possible UO webinars will be broadcast live via a webinar to UO Portland and the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology in Charleston.
  • Following each seminar, a recording of the presentation or PowerPoint presentation slides will be posted to the HR website.

#Adulting: Money Matters - geared toward dependents of employees

Heading out into the world, whether graduating high school or college, you may be faced with financial decisions you don't feel prepared to make. The purpose of this class is to review the most common and important financial decisions. You will learn the importance of budgeting, saving for goals and monitoring your credit, as well as the potential challenges of taking on too much debt. We’ll also review the resources available to you (like apps) that can help you take control of your finances and your future.

Safeguarding Kid's Identity and Online Privacy

Today’s youth generation is tech-savvy and connected online. However, parents still play an important role in helping them avoid online hazards such as identity theft, privacy and cyberbullying. This workshop covers important issues including online privacy tips, managing computer settings, smartphone apps, and positive online behavior.
