Senior Research Assistant: Applications Training Coordinator

A 12-month 1.00 FTE position with Educational and Community Supports (ECS), a research unit within the University of Oregon's College of Education. The selected candidate must be able to communicate effectively and problem solve with others, work collaboratively and effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds and with people having different views and agendas. This position reports to the Director of Educational and Community Supports.

Requirements:
*Master's degree in special education or related field
*Comprehensive knowledge of and at least six years experience implementing school-wide positive behavior support
*Comprehensive knowledge of and at least six years experience using the School-wide Information System (SWIS)
*Certified SWIS Facilitator trainer
*Documented experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of professional development efforts in schools
*Knowledge of the elements, uses, and organization of school-wide positive behavior support applications (e.g., SWIS, SAMI, PBSEval, PBS Surveys)
*Demonstrated experience in leading workgroups and delivering professional workshops

Responsibilities:
*Coordinate the implementation and evaluation of computer application tools developed to promote school-wide positive behavior support (SWIS, SAMI, PBSEval, PBS Surveys)
*Coordinate with ECS co-coordinators focused on application design and application management
*Lead and support the workgroup within ECS focused on training SWIS Facilitators, SWIS Facilitator Trainers, SWIS users, PBSEval Users, and PBS Surveys users in computer application use
*Develop and coordinate the annual schedule of SWIS training events, coordinating with the national network for SWIS Facilitator Trainers
*Develop training materials, including PowerPoint presentations, website tools, video-training modules, and conference/workshop presentations
*Evaluate the impact of applications training quarterly
*Summarize/analyze data from computer applications promoting school-wide positive behavior support, generate reports based on those summaries/analyses, and write at least one professional paper annually related to the content, utility and/or impact of school-wide positive behavior support efforts
*Attend Educational and Community Supports administration meetings and participate in the design of ECS organization and administration
*Collaborate on grant development to obtain external funding for application design, training and evaluation
*Attend national conferences as appropriate

The person in this position will be issued a 12-month contract, renewable annually depending on performance. Current funding is available through September 2010.

Salary: $65,000-$70,000 based upon qualifications and relevant experience
