Faculty Unionization
Introduction
This website was created initially to assist University of Oregon faculty in making informed choices regarding the current union organizing effort co-sponsored by the American Federation of Teachers/American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFT) and the American Association of University Professors (AAUP).
Recently, the University of Oregon and United Academics of Oregon have reached an agreement regarding the appropriate make up of a faculty bargaining unit for our campus. A copy of that agreement is available at the link below. We will continue to post information regarding faculty collective bargaining as the process unfolds.
If you have questions about the new bargaining unit, please email generalcounsel@uoregon.edu.
Please contact Randy Wardlow, rwardlow@uoregon.edu, 6-2965 or Linda King, llking@uoregon.edu, 6-2966, if you have questions or suggestions for information that should be posted on this website.
