McKenzie Parent and Baby Co-op

What Is the Parent and Baby Co-op?

The Co-op is a small room on campus, dedicated to providing a child-friendly space for faculty, staff and student parents to set up and manage their own childcare arrangement. It can also serve as a lactation support space, although a pump is not provided. It is private and is outfitted with a sink with hot and cold running water, a changing table, small refrigerator, microwave, toys and other amenities to support the care of babies and nursing mothers.

The room can accommodate children six weeks to one year old, with a maximum of three children and their caregivers using the space at any one time. Participating parents manage the Co-op and are responsible for recruiting other parent participants and interviewing, hiring, and supervising childcare providers.

Where Is the McKenzie Parent and Baby Co-op Located?

The McKenzie Parent and Baby Co-op is located on the first floor of McKenzie Hall in Room 161.
